The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited arrives soon in the West Island!
Jeep vehicles have been part of the automotive landscape for now 75 years and the Wrangler is the proud descendant of an illustrious lineage. Born from the first-ever Jeep CJ in 1944-the civilian version of the Willys MB military vehicle-it had its beginnings as the Wrangler in 1987 and underwent revisions in 1997, 2007 and 2018. For 2020, the Wrangler has more pleasant surprises in store; don't miss its arrival in the next few months at Des Sources Chrysler, your Jeep dealer in DDO, in the West Island of Montreal!
A timeless design, unchanged for 7 decades
At first glance, we recognize the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! Indeed, why change a design that has been successful for over 70 years? If, admittedly, it gained in modernity, it still sports its iconic rounds headlamps, is square profile, its prominent wheel arches as well as its removable doors and top, in the purest Jeep tradition.
A hybrid version?
Very few details have been revealed about the 2020 Wrangler Unlimited; the recent little information on this subject comes from the JLWranglers Forum site, and it has yet to be corroborated by Jeep Canada, the American and Canadian specifications not always being the same. Nevertheless, we read that the 3.6-litre V6 engine will be back, and that it could be combined to the eTorque mild hybrid system with a 48-volt battery. The 2.0-litre turbo 4-cylinder engine will also be available and, for our neighbours from the South at the very least, they announced the arrival of an EcoDiesel V6 that would develop an output of 260 horsepower, offered in all Unlimited versions (Sport, Sahara and Rubicon). As for the towing capacity, no information was leaked, which suggests that there will be no change for the 2020 millesimal.
A versatile and functional interior
Like every self-respecting Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SUV, the 2020 model should also be outfitted with removable carpets and drain plugs in the floor, allowing you to wash-out the interior of your vehicle after an off-road drive! And among the new features, we note the possibility to opt for a Black & Tan Edition which, as its name indicates, has seats covered in tan fabric; the soft top will also be in tan tones, and you will enjoy 2-colour wheels. Once again, we don't know if this version will be offered in the country. Nor is there any word on the new commodities and technologies, which suggests that you will find the same features than on the 2019 version, possibly even more, depending on the model.
The official release date of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has not been unveiled yet; however, its arrival is expected before the end of 2019.
